The trick I used for learning tenor clef: pretend it is bass clef, and play up one string. So, if it looks like first position on the D string, play it in first position on the A string. You'll need to do a little nudging to stay in the right key (for example, it might feel like you are fingering F naturals in G major in the second song), but otherwise it works great!
