Have you ever wondered why violinists like to play this piece? Now you can find out. This arrangement has the repetitive cello part spread through cello 1-4. You're never playing the bass for more than 8 measures before moving into more melodic parts.
Cello 1 to 3 - up to thumb position (briefly). Thumb position notes are all slow moving; the fast notes are all in bass clef.
Cello 4 - shifts up to fourth position. |
